Plagiarism Policy for IJMSRI
The International Journal of Medical Science Research and Innovations (IJMSRI) maintains a strict stance against any form of plagiarism. Plagiarism includes reproducing ideas, results, or words of another author without proper attribution. Self-plagiarism, which involves reusing substantial portions of one’s previously published work without appropriate citation, is also prohibited.
IJMSRI uses advanced plagiarism detection software to verify the originality of submitted manuscripts. The software checks the content against a vast database of academic articles, online sources, and other published materials, generating a similarity report. This report is reviewed according to the journal’s editorial policies, and manuscripts showing high levels of similarity are scrutinized further.
Plagiarism Consequences
- Initial Review: Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism during the initial review phase will be rejected outright and not considered for publication.
- Post-Publication Discovery: If plagiarism is identified after a manuscript has been published, an investigation will be conducted. A Fact-Finding Committee (FFC) may be formed to review the case.
- Actions Upon Confirmation of Plagiarism:
- The journal will notify the author’s affiliated institution to take disciplinary action.
- The plagiarized manuscript will be removed from the journal’s website, and all links to the article will be disabled. The term “Plagiarized Manuscript” will be appended to the article’s title.
- The author may be banned from submitting to IJMSRI for a specified period or permanently.
- The journal may display the names and contact details of authors found guilty of plagiarism on its website.
- Other actions may be taken as deemed appropriate by the editorial board.
IJMSRI is committed to maintaining the integrity of academic publishing and will take immediate action against unethical practices, ensuring that original authors receive due credit for their work.
All articles published in IJMSRI are rigorously checked for plagiarism using Plagiarism Checker X software. Manuscripts with significant similarities to previously published works may be rejected to ensure the originality and integrity of the research.
